Thank you for your interest in driving for Go Diva Transportation!

 

Go Diva is a new car service for women and the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Saskatoon.  By becoming a driver for us, you will be helping to provide safe and reliable transportation options focused on the health and well being of our passengers.

 

To be a driver, both applicants and their vehicles must meet the minimum requirements:

Driver & Vehicle Requirements:

 

  • Clean Driver’s Abstract (nothing below a zero rating) – current within the last 30 days - https://www.sgi.sk.ca/driver-records-abstracts - any of the following on your abstract will result in ineligibility:  conviction in the past 5 years for impaired or dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop at the scene of a collision, careless driving, or driving with a suspended licence.

  • Clear Criminal Background check (including Vulnerable sector)  - https://saskatoonpolice.ca/recordcheck/ - applicant automatically ineligible if results show a conviction for a violent crime, drug-related offence, sexual offence, certain theft or property damage offence.

  • Driver must have a Class 5 licence

  • Driver must be at least 21 years old with an active driver’s licence (above Novice) for at least 2 years to apply

  • Vehicle must be 7 years old or newer

  • Vehicle must pass inspection

  • Vehicle must have plate insurance - PB plate specifically

  • Vehicle must be a mid-size sedan or larger but will consider other models on a case-by-case basis

 

*Both driving record checks and vehicle inspections are required annually.

Next Steps:

 

  • In-house training:  Includes training on Go Diva standards, safety tips and expectations.  Using the app, Covid-19 restrictions, etc.

  • Sensitivity training:  Attend an educational session by OUTSaskatoon on how to be a supportive and inclusive ally to 2SLGBTQ+
